LITHONIA, Ga. — Over the last 61 years, Luther Rice College & Seminary has been faithfully providing graduates who go on to serve Georgia Baptist churches. On Friday, Luther Rice has expanded its impact by launching its newest degree program - an Associate of Arts in General Studies. The 60-credit hour program is open for applications and will begin offering classes this fall.
The Associate of Arts degree from Luther Rice allows students to complete their general studies requirements from a Christian worldview and 100% Online or combined with on-campus courses. Luther Rice’s accreditation, affordability, flexible degree programs, and fidelity to God’s Word continue to make the school stand out amongst its peers.
“The Luther Rice family is very excited about our newest program,” says President Steven Steinhilber. “We understand that families are hesitant to send their students to schools with a conflicting worldview, especially in general studies. With this degree, we now provide you with an alternative.” Luther Rice believes parents of homeschooled and high school graduates might find this most suitable.
The new program is for students of all ages who may be undecided on a specific major, plan to continue into a bachelor's degree at Luther Rice College & Seminary, or desire a biblical foundation before transferring into a major discipline not offered at Luther Rice. Designed to provide a broad academic foundation for any future disciple, the degree includes courses in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, and other general studies. Completing through Luther Rice allows students to explore their interests and build a strong academic foundation from a biblical worldview.
