Index Board elects officers at Jan. 20 meeting, welcomes Horner and Dixon as new members

The Christian Index Board of Directors elected a new slate of officers and welcomed two new board members during their Jan. 20 meeting at the Baptist Center.

Darrell Henry, pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga, was elected chairman to replace Allen Hughes of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula who rotated off the board in December. Rusty Newman, pastor of Union Baptist Church in Winder, was named vice chairman and replaced Henry. Ted Moody, pastor of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Griffin, was elected secretary to replace Newman.

Joining the Board for their first meeting were Vidalia businesswoman Patricia Dixon and Peachtree Corners pastor Bob Horner.

Dixon is executive director of Toombs/Montgomery/Wheeler Counties United Way and is a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia. Horner is pastor of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church of Norcross.
