Georgia Baptist Convention President Tony R. Dickerson has announced the members of the 2005 Committee on Nominations.

Agreeing to serve are Rusty Newman of Winder, chairman; Kenneth Cloud of Cairo, Wayne Hamrick of Cartersville, Darrell Henry of Chickamauga, Billy Duncan of Columbus, David R. Hill of Griffin, Stacy Kennedy of Vidalia, Jeremy Morton of Fort Valley, Freddie Rhodes of Hawkinsville, Wyman Richardson of Dawson, Tony Samples of Dallas, Don Spear of Rome, Mike Stone of Blackshear, Enoch N. Tsai of Martinez and Ethel Wynn of Auburn.

Dickerson and GBC Executive Director J. Robert White will serve ex officio.

The Committee announced that at the 2005 annual meeting of the Georgia Baptist Convention, 17 full-term memberships and four at-large memberships will be elected as well as any unexpired terms which become vacant during the year. Dickerson reminded Georgia Baptists that the associations are eligible to suggest names to the Committee for these vacancies.

Associations preparing to suggest names for consideration will receive nominations forms from the office of the Executive Director, and are requested to mail these forms to Committee on Nominations Chairman Rusty Newman, Union Baptist Church, PO Box 1660, Winder GA 30680. The Committee on Nominations will meet May 3, August 9, October 18 and November 14.

Associations for which full five-year term Executive Committee members will be elected are: Centennial, Central, Colquitt County, Etowah, Gordon County, Polk-Haralson, Henry, Hiawassee, Kimbell, Lookout Valley, Mallary, Memorial, Morganton, Mulberry, Thomas County, Washington and West Metro. The Pine Mountain Association has unexpired vacancies to fill (2006) and there are two at-large vacancies to fill (2006 and 2009).
