Problems with "user friendly"

I was a little taken back by the recent Index article on Bill Hybels March 31, page 19. While you ran what someone else wrote I still had some problems with these types of ministries that get really hung up on being "user friendly" even if it means sending a confusing message. When I followed up on the internet pertaining to his theology I had serious questions. One example is his aversion to having the cross anywhere around.

I realize that in this serious time we want to reach all we can at whatever cost. But I do get concerned that often the lines become a little fuzzy.
