Other Georgia BSUs took time during spring break to engage in mission opportunities.
At Truett-McConnell, thirty students from the Baptist Student Union participated in a host of mission trips. One group traveled to Chickamauga, where they assisted in a youth retreat. Some of those participants then went to the Techwood Center in Atlanta to work in a soup kitchen. Other students worked together on a DiscipleNow team.
A separate group traveled to Poland, where they prayerwalked and sponsored a coffeehouse geared toward helping Polish citizens learn English. Students also traveled to Miami to partner with a church and blanket the local community with information about the congregation and invite them to an upcoming Easter service.
During March 5-13, a team from Mercer University's BSU traveled to Paris to work with International Mission Board missionaries and minister to Parisian students among five different universities.
"The mission trip was an amazing experience," said BSU director Chris Fuller. "It was shocking to us the number of people who did not believe in God and were not shy about sharing it. France is often perceived as a Christian country, but many of its citizens would disagree."
