Anniversaries

Sam Dunaway celebrated his 25th anniversary as music director at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Stone Mountain Baptist Association April 27.

Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point will celebrate its 60th anniversary on May 1. Morning services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Darwin Caldwell speaking and Ken Drane, minister of music and senior adults, leading music. All friends and former members are invited to attend. Clyde Kendall will celebrate his 55th preaching anniversary in May, 41 years of which were spent as a full time local church evangelist. Kendall held different positions over the years, including working as a pilot and a businessman. He is a college and seminary graduate and has conducted 1,000 plus revival crusades throughout the country, as well as overseas.

White Oak Hills Baptist Church in Stone Mountain celebrated its 65th anniversary on April 9.

Carolyn Whitmire celebrated 30 years of service in various ministries at Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur in February. While at the church she served as Mother's Morning Out Director, secretary in the media library and at the reception desk.
