Medical workers needed for GBC-sponsored aid trip to Indonesia

Disaster Relief Ministries of the Georgia Baptist Convention is seeking volunteers for upcoming trips to aid tsunami survivors.

The next team leaving for Indonesia will depart on June 4 and return June 19. The medical team is seeking two doctors, two nurses, two paramedics and a dentist. Volunteers should be in good physical condition and able to withstand extreme heat and humidity.

Since the disaster, the state convention has sent 20 volunteers making up four teams. The most recent team of 12 people returned May 10. Volunteers have met medical and cooking needs in addition to fogging for mosquitos and cleaning out wells.
