Honors

Jerry Price was honored on April 24 at Patterson Baptist Church during the morning worship for 25 years of service as pastor. During a church conference held prior to the service, a motion was made that declared April 24 Jerry Price Day at Patterson Baptist.

Longtime friend of Price and deacon at the church Jimmy Screws presented Price with a check for $25,000, a love offering from the congregation representing $1,000 for each year of his service. Associational Missionary Don Patterson closed the service in prayer.

Zion Hill Baptist Church in Buford recognized Paul Wade as pastor emeritus on Feb. 20. The church honored him with a plaque and luncheon.

Wade has served in the pastoral ministry for more than 53 years, pastoring seven churches, including 2 years of service as interim at Zion Hill.
