Ministerial Moves

 

Ken Alford began serving as senior pastor at Crossroads Baptist Church in Valdosta on May 1.

 

First Baptist Church in Putney called Joe Carr as pastor. He will begin May 15.

 

After serving six years, Ryan Edwards resigned as youth pastor at Dykes Creek Baptist Church in Rome on April 17. The church hosted an appreciation luncheon for Edwards and his family on that day. He will continue serving as outreach director.

 

John Fullmer resigned as music director at Isabella Baptist Church in Sylvester on March 27.

 

Calvary Baptist Church in Acworth called Tom Ham as full time pastor May 8. Ham comes to the church from Hebron East Baptist Church, where he served as pastor of the satellite branch, and brings with him seventeen years of ministry experience.

 

On March 20 Cadwell Baptist Church called Al Haywood as pastor. Haywood previously served Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church in Macon, Rehoboth Baptist Church in Perry, Wrens Baptist Church, Dudley Baptist Church, Liberty Baptist Church in Dublin, and Marie Baptist Church in Dublin.

 

Rose Lane Baptist Church in Marietta called John E. Johnson as full-time pastor. He began his ministry May 1.

 

Lexington Baptist Church called Sam Jones as interim pastor. He began serving April 17.

 

After serving as interim pastor for the past six months, James E. Pelham was called as pastor at Coolidge Memorial Baptist Church in Coolidge on April 17. Pelham served at Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany before coming to the church. He also previously served several churches as minister of education and pastored Salem Baptist Church in Edison. Pelham served as director of missions for the Mallary Baptist Association for more than twenty-five years. He is joined by his wife, Myrtice.

 

Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta called Chase Tramont as senior high minister. He began serving April 16.

 

Trinity Baptist Church in Moultrie called Carl Tolbert, Jr. as minister of students in March. He comes to the church from John's Creek Baptist Church in Atlanta and is joined by his wife, Suzanne, and their two boys, Kyle and Jay.

 

East Albany Baptist Church in Mallary Association called Jimmy Wease as pastor effective March 20.
