Tsan-Chi "Daniel" Cho, former pastor of Ardsley Park Chinese Baptist Mission in Savannah, died May 14 in San Gabriel, Ca. He was 53.
Cho served as pastor of the Chinese Mission from 1994-2002, when he left to attend Logos Evangelical Seminary in El Monte, Ca. He is survived by his wife, Grace, and son, Benjamin.
William "Bill" F. Doverspike, Sr., Georgia Baptist pastor for 50 years, died May 26. He was 78.
Doverspike was a graduate of Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University), Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He was ordained into the ministry at State Street Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C.
Doverspike's ministry included serving as pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Swansea, S.C; Tabernacle Baptist Church in Atlanta; Scott Boulevard Baptist Church in Decatur; and First Baptist Church in Doraville, as well as serving as assistant pastor at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.
Following retirement, Doverspike was ordained as a deacon and served as a Sunday School teacher and usher at Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain.
He is survived by his wife, Nell, children William Doverspike, Jr.; Ruth Sullivan; John David Doverspike, Sr.; Ann Mitchell; Timothy Paul Doverspike; Kathy Cummins; and twelve grandchildren, all of the Atlanta area.
Other survivors include a sister, Betty Doverspike of Harrisburg, Pa., and brothers Jack Doverspike of Columbia S.C. and Jim Doverspike of North Syracuse, N.Y.
