Nine Georgians earn degrees from Southern Seminary

 

Nine graduates with Georgia ties participated in commencement exercises for Southern Seminary May 13.

Among those receiving degrees were:

Ken Ellis, a member of Greenforest Baptist Church in Decatur, who earned a doctor of ministry from the Billy Graham School of Mission, Evangelism, and Church Growth;

Lawrence J. Grays, Jr. a member of First Baptist Church in Woodstock, who earned a doctor of ministry from the school of theology;

Andrew Hall, a member of First Baptist Church in Duluth, who earned a master of arts in missiology from the Billy Graham School of Mission, Evangelism, and Church Growth;

Yer Her, a member of Ceeb Tsheej Baptist Mission in Monroe, who earned a diploma in theology;

Mitchell Landress, a member of Lucerne Baptist Church in Lilburn, who earned a master of divinity from the school of theology;

Timothy Law, a member of First Baptist Church in Woodstock, who earned master of divinity from the school of theology;

Rebecca McBrayer, a member of Burning Bush Baptist Church in Ringgold, who earned a master of arts in theological studies from the school of theology;

Steve Parr, a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, who earned a doctor of ministry from the Billy Graham School of Mission, Evangelism, and Church Growth and is currently serving as interim pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snellville;

and Darren Thomas, a member of First Baptist Church in Springfield, who earned a doctor of education from the school of leadership and church ministry.
