Ministerial Moves

 

Greensboro First Baptist Church called Michael Hardy as pastor effective July 24. He is joined by his wife and two children.

Hardy is a graduate of Anderson College, Mercer University, and Southeastern Seminary, and has also studied at Erskine Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor at Wise Baptist Church in N.C., Oak Bower Baptist Church in Hartwell, and Palmetto Baptist Church in Palmetto. Hardy has also served as administrator of the Palmetto Campus of the Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and as associate pastor of First Baptist Church Blairsville.

 

Don Harper resigned as pastor of New Prospect Baptist Church in Hebron Association on June 26.

 

Ron Lambros has been named president/executive director of Touching Lives Ministries, Inc. with James Merritt, senior pastor of Cross Pointe, The Church at Gwinnett Center in Duluth. Previously, Lambros served more than 20 years as associate pastor - media ministries at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker.

 

Rehoboth Baptist Church in Hebron Association called Michael Marcengill to work with youth and children beginning June 1.

 

Marty McRae resigned as interim pastor at Wood Station Baptist Church in Northwest Georgia and Lookout Valley Associations effective May 29.

 

Poplar Springs Baptist Church called Jeff and Leslie Mousa, of New Orleans, La., as student minister/assistant pastor. Their ministry began on July 31.

Jeff and Leslie both are graduates from North Greenville College. Jeff has a bachelors degree of arts in Christian studies and is working on his master of divinity in Biblical studies at New Orleans Seminary. Leslie has a bachelor of science in sports management from North Greenville.

Jeff has served in many local churches and has been involved with Kingdom Building Ministries in Denver, Co. Leslie has worked with camps and directors of camps with the YMCA.

 

First Baptist Church in Moreland in Western Association has called Stephanie Sibley as director of children and preschoolers.

 

Elberton First Baptist Church in Hebron Association called Michael Stovall as pastor on May 22. He began June 10.
