Retired minister Charles W. Drake of the Crabapple Community near Alpharetta will celebrate his 91st birthday on Aug. 21. A special family get-together will be held on Aug. 20 at his home at 13235 Freemanville Rd. Drake was in the pastoral ministry for 69 years and served seven churches and 21 interims. His last church to pastor was Crabapple First Baptist Church, which did not have the Cooperative Program in its budget at the time.

Today it is the Roswell Baptist Association's leading contributor to the missions funding program.
