Holland retires as Bowen associational missionary

Charles Holland, area associational missionary for the Bowen Baptist Association, retired Aug. 31 after 12 years of service.

Before coming to the association, Holland served as pastor at several churches throughout Georgia including Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Demorest, Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Lavonia, United Baptist Church in Atlanta, and most recently, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bowman.

Holland is a native of Walhalla, S.C., and currently a member at Fellowship Baptist Church in Brinson. Following retirement he will be available for intentional interim. He and his wife, Kathryn, are in the process of moving to South Carolina. They can be reached at 340 Stephens Road, Pickens, S.C. 29671.

The Bowen Baptist Association voted to nominate a replacement associational missionary on Aug. 29 but that information was unavailable when the Index went to press.
