Pinnacle article brings memories for former camper

I want to thank you for the beautiful centerspread article on Camp Pinnacle in the Aug. 4 issue of the Index. It was dear to my heart and brought back so many memories of my experience at the camp.

I was on the state Camp Committee when Camp Pinnacle was organized and was at the first meeting there. Camp Pinnacle is “dear to my heart” and I rejoice every time I see articles concerning it.

I am now 84 years old and still go up for a visit when I get a chance, and I regularly encourage our church to send our youth and adults to the camp.

I just had to thank you again for this article and wanted to express my gratitude for Camp Pinnacle and what it has meant to so many people in my family and the state of Georgia.
