Anniversaries

Ted Boland celebrated his 37th anniversary as pastor of Moreland Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta on Aug. 7.

Steve Davis will celebrate 10 years as pastor of First Baptist Church in Carrollton on Sept. 11. The church will honor him on Sept. 18 from 6-7 p.m. with a special service.

W. Wilson Donehoo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination into the ministry on Sept. 7. Special recognition will be given at Bethel Baptist Church in Appalachee Association, where he is currently a member and deacon.

Donehoo and his wife, Martha, are retired from the International Mission Board, after having served in Colombia, Panama and the Caribbean Basin. He also served as the first pastor of Trinity Baptist in Thomaston and Bethel Baptist Church in Walton County.

Currently, Donehoo resides in Walton County where he serves as clerk of the Appalachee Association, teaches in the Continuing Education Program and does supply and interim preaching.

Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church in Gainesville will celebrate its 100th anniversary on Sept. 18 during the 11 a.m. worship service. Lunch will follow with another service beginning at 2 p.m. For more information call (770) 534-3469. Fulton Boswell is pastor.

Pinetta Baptist Church in Ben Hill/Irwin Association celebrated its 100th anniversary on Aug. 21. Interim pastor Danny V. Ray spoke and more than 200 attended.
