Cloud named new associational missionary

Kenneth Cloud will return to his native Decatur County and assume his new role as associational missionary for Bowen Baptist Association Sept. 26. He succeeds Charles Holland, who retired Aug. 31.

Previously, Cloud served as pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Cairo. Additionally, he pastored Elderendo Baptist Church in Bowen Association, First Baptist Putney, and Providence Baptist Church in Greensboro, Fla.

For the past two years, Cloud has served on the nominating committee for the Georgia Baptist Convention.

While at Midway, Cloud served as chaplain of the Grady County Sheriff's Department as well as the county fire department.

He and his wife, Brenda, have two sons serving as pastors. Gordon Cloud is pastor of Pine Park Baptist Church in Grady County while Cameron Cloud serves as pastor of Hatcher Baptist Church in Dillwyn, Va.

Brenda Cloud served as president of Georgia Baptist Minister's Wives in 2003.
