Steve Brooks received his bachelor of arts degree in theology from the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville on May 14. Brooks serves as pastor of New Shiloh Church in Thomasville. Henry Fullington received his bachelor of arts degree in theology from the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville May 14. Fullington is a former member of Avondale Church in Macon. Walter and Diane Schenk received bachelor’s degrees in theology and elementary education, respectively, from Baptist College of Florida in Graceville May 14. Diane is a member of First Church in Donalsonville. Ken Thomas, formerly of First Church Tifton, received his doctor of education degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky., May 14. Thomas serves LifeWay Christian Resources as manager/team leader of Crosspoint and Centri-Kid Camps, as well as president and founder of 3 by 3 Ministries. He and his wife, Norma, and their two children, Nathan and Anna, currently reside in Nolensville, Tenn.
Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary in Peachtree City celebrated its Spring 2004 Commencement ceremonies May 14 at Oak Hill Church in Griffin with 11 students graduating. John Borek, president of Liberty University, addressed the graduates as the commencement speaker. Immanuel President James Stewart presented the charge, then conferred degrees on the graduates. Georgians among those receiving degrees were: W. Shane Craven, originally of Roswell and current senior pastor of Central Church in Crestview, Fla. who received a master of divinity; David Hammonds of Tyrone who received a master of divinity.
New Orleans Seminary New Orleans Seminary graduated ten students with Georgia ties in spring commencement May 15. Georgians receiving diplomas were: Angela Gay Bauman of Snellville, a member of Mt. Zion Church, who received a Master of Divinity; Ronald Sidney Fowler of Canton, a member of Mt. Zion Church, who received a Master of Arts in Christian Education; Norman Curtis Heyward of McDonough, a member of Bethany Baptist Church, who received a Master of Divinity; Eric Philip Houseworth of Newnan, a member of Briarlake Church in Decatur, who received a Master of Divinity; Amy McFarland Houseworth of Powder Springs, a member of First Church, who received a Master of Arts in Christian Education; Edgar Lee Johnson of West Point, a member of Chattanooga Valley Church in Flintstone, who received a Doctor of Ministry; Michael Douglas Lawson of Blakely, a member of New Hope Church, who received a Master of Divinity; Benjamin Charles Maddox of Warner Robbins, a member of Shirley Hills Church , who received a Master of Divinity; John Dale Sumner of Tifton, a member of First Church, who received a Master of Divinity; Kevin Lamar Wilson of Dacula, a member of Hebron Church, who received a Master of Divinity.
Southeastern Seminary The following students with Georgia ties received degrees at Southeastern Seminary's spring commencement. Josie Maria Spreher of Snellville, received a Bachelor of Arts; Brian Randall Jones of Douglasville, received a Bachelor of Arts; Raymond Frank Mullis, Jr. of Eastman, received a Master of Theological Studies; Patrick S. Gillen of Warner Robins, received a Master of Arts; Tensley Lenton Almand of Canton, received a Master of Divinity; Steven Eric Doolittle of Augusta, received a Master of Divinity; Steven Hugh Hazelton of Fayetteville, received a Master of Divinity; Brian James Rosseau of Warner Robins, received a Master of Divinity; L. David Mills of Auburn, received a Doctor of Philosophy.
Southwestern Seminary Southwestern Seminary graduated eight students with Georgia ties in commencement services on May 7. Graduates included: Michelle Abraham of Snellville, a member of Mt. Zion Church, who received a Master of Arts in Christian Education and Master of Arts in Ministry-Based Evangelism; Van Freeman of Rome, who received a Master of Arts in Christian Education; Catherine Heard of Atlanta, a member of Mount Vernon Church, who received a Master of Arts in Christian School Education; Tanya Hicks of Smyrna, a member of King Spring Church, who received a Master of Divinity; Adam Oliver of Marietta, who received a Master of Arts in Missiology; Elizabeth Pierce of Fort Oglethorpe, a member of Chattanooga Valley Church, who received a Master of Divinity; Kristi Poole of Powder Springs, a member of First Church, who received Master of Arts in Christian Education; Lisa Seeley of Atlanta, who received Master of Arts in Theology. |
