Liberty Hill Church in Hampton held dedication services with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for its new preschool wing May 16.

 

Macedonia Baptist Church in Jackson broke ground for its new Family Life Center on May 16.

 

Sherwood Baptist Church broke ground for its new 40-acre sports complex on April 27 at Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany. The complex will include facilities for football, soccer, baseball, softball, tennis and swimming.

 

David Keith Zoellick, a 2004 graduate of Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany, has been named an Outstanding Scholar Finalist in the Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools National Scholarship Program.

Zoellick was one of among thirty-nine students from nine states selected based on a minimum score of 1250 SAT/28 ACT, have an overall 3.5 GPA and have evidenced leadership, service and Christian character to be considered for the program. Students are selected to national, regional and finalist levels.

 

Tabernacle Church in Macon completed construction for its 450-seat worship facility in April. The church held a dedication service April 25. J. Robert White, executive director of the Georgia Baptist Convention, brought the message. David Hunter is pastor.

 

Shiloh Church in Rossville recently completed construction on a storage building for The Cottage, the emergency children’s shelter serving Walker, Dade, Catoosa and Chattooga counties. The mission team consisting of 35 church members had the 500-square-foot building 90% complete in eight hours.
