Easley, Tyler named to Index Board

 

Ernest Easley, pastor of Roswell Street Church in Marietta, and Cliff Tyler, first vice president-investments and senior financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in Atlanta, are new members of the Board of Directors of The Christian Index.

Easley was ordained to the gospel ministry by Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Southwestern Seminary. He has a doctor of ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary.

Easley came to the Marietta church in February of 2002 after serving as senior pastor of First Baptist, Odessa, Texas, for more than 8 years.

He and his wife Joy have three children: Jordan, Jonah and Jessica.

Tyler has been with Merrill Lynch since 1978 and has taught courses at Emory Senior University. Previously he was in sales management with a Fortune 100 company.

He earned his masters in business administration from Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., and an undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. Tyler also served as an Army officer with the U.S. Special Forces in South Vietnam.

He is a member of Eastside Baptist in Marietta where he serves as a deacon. He and his wife, Betty, have two grown sons, Chris and Ryan.
