Second Avenue Baptist Church in Rome will celebrate 50 years of ministry on Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. with a reception in the fellowship hall.

Jesse G. Moore was honored by Haddock Baptist Church on Dec. 14 for 60 years of active ministry as a deacon. The church has been in existence for 97 years and is constructing a new sanctuary.
