Garry Barber has been called as pastor at First Baptist Church McCaysville. Barber is a native of Canton and has pastored churches in Alpharetta and Shepherdsville. Prior to coming to McCaysville, he and his family served as IMB missionaries to the Ukraine from December 1997 to December 2002.

 

Troy Acree has returned to his home in Blairsville after serving eleven months as interim pastor at First Baptist Church McCaysville.

 

Robert Thompson of Tifton recently completed an eleven-month interim pastorate at Lakeview Baptist Church in Lenox.

 

Matt Blackmon has been called as interim youth minister at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Blackmon recently served at New Hope Baptist Church in Thomaston.

 

Heatherwood Baptist Church of Fairburn Association has called Paul Bragg as youth minister. Bragg has served in various youth and student ministries in Tennessee churches for ten years.

 

David Walker has been called as pastor at Wadley Baptist Church. Walker attended Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He is joined by his wife, Samantha.

 

Jerry A. Songer has been called as intentional interim pastor at The Rock Baptist Church in Rex.

Craig Westbrook has resigned as pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in LaFayette. The church has since called John Teague as pastor.

 

Clay Powell resigned as pastor of Lake Howard Baptist Church in LaFayette on Nov. 9. Powell has accepted a call to pastor Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rossville.

 

First Baptist Church of Brunswick has called Tim Nobles as pastor.

 

Benny Braddy has been called as interim pastor at Orchard Hill Baptist Church. The church is a member of Flint River Association.

 

Curtis Hardie has resigned as pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Griffin.

 

Craig Lee has resigned as pastor of Hollonville Baptist Church in Williamson.

 

Argin Floyd and David Owsley, both formerly of Valley Grove Baptist Church, have accepted calls to Molena Baptist Church. Floyd was called as interim pastor and Owsley was called to lead music.

 

Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Molena called Mark Harris as interim pastor on Nov. 2.

 

Curtis Meador has accepted a call as pastor of Silvertown Baptist Church in Thomaston beginning Jan. 1.

 

Cecil Clegg has accepted a call as transitional pastor at Lithia Heights Baptist Church in Lithia Springs.

 

Zion View Baptist Church in Austell called Lee Whaley as pastor on Nov. 2. Whaley is joined by his wife, Annette.

 

Paul Wilkes has accepted a call as pastor at Springdale Baptist Church in Dublin. Wilkes' expected beginning date is Jan. 4.
