Appreciates article on inerrancy

Sir: I am absolutely elated having just finished reading the article "Inerrancy is alive and well on Planet Evangelical" by Hal Ostrander (see page 4, Nov. 6 issue of The Index). Dr. Ostander has done an outstanding job of providing us with an informative, well-written, succinct perspective on the inerrancy movement and its importance to us as Bible-believing people with a heart for ministry, evangelism, and missions.

The cinematic depiction of the life of Martin Luther currently playing in theaters provides us with a poignant reminder of just how far astray religious people can go when we substitute fallible traditions and thought for the infallible and inerrant Word of God. Thank God for those among us who like Luther, labor over the Word of God and stand resolutely upon it.

May their tribe increase!
