Ministerial Moves

 

J.B. Reese announced his retirement as pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church at the end of September. The church is a member of Stone Mountain Association.

 

Red Thornton has resigned as music minister at First Baptist Church of Conyers to serve at a church in Louisiana.

 

Paul Hanson has resigned as youth pastor of Milstead Baptist Church in Stone Mountain Association.

 

Kenneth C. Mauldin has been called as interim pastor of Ellaville Baptist Church. He has pastored in Alabama and formerly pastored two Georgia churches. He and his wife, Chris, are emeritus missionaries of the International Mission Board, having served ten years in Guyana, South America.

 

Bob Koopal has been called as interim youth minister at First Baptist Church of Americus.

 

Christy Hawkins has resigned as children's minister at Friendship Baptist Church. Friendship is a member of Flint River Association.

 

Phil Wilkes, pastor of Forest Park First Baptist Church, resigned in August to accept the pastorate at New Colony Baptist Church in Billerica, Mass. He is joined by his wife, Sue, and two boys, Brett and Bradley.

 

Chuck Love, former staff member at Second Baptist Church in Cedartown, has accepted a call to First Baptist Church, Grapeland, Texas, to serve as minister of music and youth.

 

Vineyard Baptist Church has called James Elliott as its senior pastor and Art Lesser III as pastor of music and worship. Vineyard is a member of Flint River Association.

 

Jessie Dasher has been called as pastor to Rehoboth Baptist Church in Griffin.

 

DeVotie Baptist Church in Experiment has called Tim Wheeless as minister to students.
