The Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce has named Edmund Miller, pastor emeritus of Mountaintown Baptist Church in Ellijay, its 2008 Citizen of the Year. The honor came for Miller at the group’s annual gala held Jan. 24 at Appalachian Technical College. During his ministry, Miller has served as chaplain at North Georgia Medical Center, as a Gideon, and as pastor of several churches.
