Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount will celebrate its 175th year anniversary with a homecoming celebration August 1 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Robert A. Boswell, assistant executive director/vice president for ministries of the Georgia Baptist Convention, will bring the message. Following the service will be a covered dish lunch and baptism at the old spring.

Revival services will be held August 2-4 at 7 p.m. each evening. Dennis Fowler, pastor of Pleasant Hill Church in Coweta, will be the guest speaker and Bill McKenzie, music minister at Providence Church in Newnan, will lead worship.

 

Fred Evers celebrated his fifth anniversary as pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton June 20.

 

On June 6 a reception was held in honor of Don Moye’s 30th anniversary as associate pastor for worship and music at Vidalia First Baptist Church.

 

H. Earl Peacock and his wife, Margaret, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 19. The Peacocks have served in Brazil as Southern Baptist missionaries. Earl also served as pastor of Clairmont Hills Church and as associate director of the evangelism department of the Georgia Baptist Convention before retiring in 1993. They are currently members of First Church of Gainesville.
