Dedications

Lyons First Baptist Church dedicated its new social hall May 22 with the inaugural Daniell Baptist Association Senior Adult luncheon. Dannie Williams, pastor, and Calvin Durrence, director of missions, led the program themed “To God Be the Glory.” Guest speaker was Charles Lowery with vocalist Ann Downing. Durrence said the event was a culmination of a dream that he has had for a senior adult ministry in the association. The church broke ground for an extensive building program March 1, 2003 and is nearing completion. Construction for that project was put on hold to complete the 400-seat social hall.
