Millwood is a 1993 graduate of Mercer University, where he is a trustee, and is currently enrolled at New Orleans Seminary pursuing a degree in missiology. He is married to the former Denise Almond of Gainesville and has three children: Jessica, 17, Austin, 8 and Micah, 2.

Bob Franklin began service as director of missions for the Macon Baptist Association June 2.
