Mable Beasley celebrated her 10th anniversary as church secretary at East Griffin Baptist Church on June 1.

 

Thomas E. McMillan celebrated 30 years of service as music minister at First Baptist Church in Brunswick. A reception was held in his honor on June 13 at the church.

 

Pine Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville will celebrate 100 years of service by having revival services Aug. 9-13 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Evangelists featured include: Dewey Atchley, Austin Goggans, and Blake Dodd.

 

First Baptist Church in Thomasville honored John Rainey with a special service and after-church fellowship for his 20 years of service as minister to youth and senior adults on July 11.

 

Palmer Rehberg celebrated his 10th anniversary as minister of education and administration at Winterville First Baptist Church on June 6. The church honored him with a reception, book of appreciation letters and a love offering.

 

Logan Smith celebrated his 10th anniversary as pastor of First Baptist Church in Cornelia on July 25. The church honored him during the morning worship service and followed with a potluck luncheon.

 

Buford M. Tanner was honored for his 50th year in ministry on July 11 with a special celebration at Liberty Baptist Church in Eastman.

Tanner attended Brewton Parker College and received degrees from Mercer University and Midwestern Seminary. He also served as pastor of Olive Hill Church in Sandersville, Elsharath Church in Cochran, Double Run Church in Pitts, Oklahoma Church in Cordele, Mt. Pleasant Church in Gordon, Big Creek Church in Coolidge, Pleasant Grove Church in Cordele, Zebulon Church in Eastman, First Baptist Church Smithville, Stone Creek Church in Dry Branch, Chamlee Memorial Church in Fort Valley and First Baptist Church in Centerview, Mo.

Tanner retired in 2001 and has served as interim pastor at Union Baptist Church in Pitts and Northern Heights Baptist Church in Cordele. Presently he serves as interim at Liberty Baptist in Eastman. He is joined by his wife of 47 years, Martha.
