The Index introduces Pantana as Editor’s secretary/receptionist

Elizabeth “Liz” Pantana has joined The Christian Index as receptionist as well as secretary to Editor Gerald Harris. She originally joined the staff last year as a temporary employee before the dual position became permanent.

Pantana was born in Lynchburg. Va., where her father, Dave Pantana, served on staff at Liberty University for ten years. He eventually moved the family to Jamaica where he accepted a missionary position as a teacher in a Bible college. In 1982, the Pantanas moved to Stone Mountain.

“Elizabeth Pantana is an integral part of the production of The Index,” Harris said. “She also provides valuable assistance in proofing pages and compiling the ‘Ministerial Moves’ and ‘People and Places’ sections of each issue.”

A member of Christ Community Church in Stone Mountain, Pantana is consistently involved in missions. She worked for three years – two as a volunteer and one on staff – with Zacchaeus Ministries. The Stone Mountain-based ministry operated the Sycamore Tree Coffeehouse, a non-profit youth and community outreach. In addition, she has participated in her church’s annual mission trips to Reynoso, Mexico for the past seven years.
