First Baptist Church in Warner Robins dedicated its renovated sanctuary with a special service on June 27.

Members of First Baptist Church in Manchester dedicated the Corbit Walker Developmental Disabilities Ministries Home July 18. The home will minister to adults with mental retardation and is partnered with Georgia Baptist Developmental Disabilities Ministries. Three years in the making, the building was named for Walker, a local resident, for his great deal of plumbing and electrical work on the new home and his notoriety for charitable volunteer work. Groups who assisted in the funding and construction were the Columbus Baptist Association; the Macedonia Builders of Ranburne, Ala.; First Baptist Church of Toccoa; Pine Mountain First Baptist Church, and Salem Baptist Church of Woodbury.
