On Jan. 3 Chris Mitchell was called as youth minister for Friendship Baptist Church in Bartow.

 

Stanley Phillips, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bowen Baptist Association, recently resigned to enter full-time evangelism.

 

Richard Poe, missionary for the North Central Area Program, recently retired and began Jan. 17 as pastor at Ball Ground First Baptist Church.

 

Clarence Steiner retired as missionary for Henry Baptist Association on Dec. 31. He had served in that role since Aug. 22, 1994.

 

Brewton Park College has hired Norman Winter as the new Vice President for College Advancement.

The former executive director of the American Rose Society and Texas Pecan Growers Association, Winter began his post at BPC Jan. 4.

In addition to his responsibilities at Brewton-Parker, Winter will continue to write a national weekly column for McClatchy Tribune.
