New Mexico needs new director

New Mexico Baptists have been led by Dr. Claude Cone for the past twenty years. At the July State Executive Board meeting, Dr. Cone announced that he would be retiring as our Executive Director, effective March 1, 2005.

While we are sad to have to let go of Dr. Cone, we are excited at the prospect of discovering what God is going to do through the Baptist Convention of New Mexico in the days to come.

Our Executive Director Search Team has been formed. We have begun seeking new leaders for the BCNM and are accepting resumes. Five statements give a general picture of the kind of man New Mexico Baptists need:
• a visionary
• a relationship builder
• a resourceful leader
• an agent of change
• a community creator.
