Pine View Baptist Church in LaGrange called James Adams as pastor in August.   Juan Alonso was called as pastor at Iglesia Bautista de Albany on Jan. 11.   Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Griffin called Reggie Bergeron as minister of music on Sept. 12. Bergeron comes to the church from Judson Baptist Church in Walker, La.   Wade Bridges was called as pastor at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Bowman effective in October. He comes to the church from Zebulon Baptist Church in Toccoa. He is joined by his wife, Lois.   Terry Caywood was appointed vice president for administrative services at Truett-McConnell College on Aug. 1. Caywood most recently served at Southwestern Seminary as business manager. He is joined by his wife, Sally, and three children.   David H. Chauncey will begin his duties as pastor of Marietta's Eastside Baptist Church Sept. 12. He is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned his doctorate of ministry degree from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. Chauncey has served on the executive board of the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia where his father, Doyle, serves as the executive director. Chauncey is married to the former Sara Kirkby of West Palm Beach. Fla. They have five children: Andrew, 11; Caleb, 10; Luke, 6; and twins, Hannah and Stephen, 2.   Jim Creason was called as associate pastor/minister of music at First Baptist Leesburg effective Aug. 16.   Denny Crosby resigned as pastor of Poulan Baptist Church in Mallary Association on Aug. 8.   Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartwell called Bill Davidson as part-time minister of outreach and senior adults on Aug. 15. He is joined by his wife, Alice.   Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur called Thomas "Tommy" Ferrell as lead pastor on Aug. 29. Ferrell comes to the church from the South Carolina Baptist Convention, where he served as director of evangelism and missions team since 1998. He is joined by his wife, Elyse, and two children, Joseph and Garrison.   Mick Garner was called as pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Blakely Aug. 8. He is joined by his wife, Darla, and daughters, Melissa and Laura.   Brad Hughes resigned as pastor of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Sumner effective Sept. 19.   Greg Hunter began his service as pastor at Hill's Crossing Baptist Church in Clarkesville June 6.   Bobby Jackson resigned as minister of music/youth at Radium Springs Baptist Church in Albany on Aug. 15.   Debra Kleckley accepted a call as associate music minister on July 25 at Arlington Baptist Church in Bethel Association.   Vickie Knuckolls began her ministry as music minister at Arlington Baptist Church in Bethel Association July 25.   David F. Long, Jr. is a full-time evangelist and is available for interim or supply. He is joined by his wife, Margie.   Jeremy Skidmore was called as minister of worship on Aug. 22 at Westview Baptist Church in Milledgeville.   Jerry Smith completed his interim as music director at First Baptist Leesburg on Aug. 15. Smith had served the church since June 1, 2002.   Gene Snipes was called as pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Albany on Aug. 4.   Union Baptist Church in Griffin called Terri Summers as director of youth ministries on Sept. 1.   Darryl Woodruff resigned as youth pastor at Carver Road Baptist Church in Griffin effective Aug 15. |
