Georgia youth find a new RUSH at the Evangelism ConferenceBy Sherri Brown, Communications, GBCPublished January 15, 2004
Nearly 10,000 students from across the state spent two days at the annual Youth Evangelism Conference. Held at the Macon Coliseum, two different sessions of youth each heard two days of testimonies and music geared with an evangelistic message. For the first time, the session included a different kind of RUSH the in-between session for all participants. This year a separate boys and girls session featured gender-specific speakers and events. "It was great. We will definitely do it again," said Doug Couch, youth ministries specialist at GBC. The 2004 Youth Evangelism Conference will be held Dec. 28-29 and 29-30 in Macon.
