It has been said that the only way to avoid criticism is to say nothing, do nothing and be nothing.
Randy Garner, an author and professor in behavioral sciences, writes, “Not surprisingly, members of the clergy are not immune from the difficulties or stresses associated with criticism and criticism-prone situations. Most pastors struggle with criticism. Criticism and conflict ‘go with the territory’ in professional ministry.”
