Laurie Bowe accepted a call as director of youth ministries at Highland Hills Baptist Church in Macon.

Sammy Burgess accepted a call as senior pastor at Acworth First Baptist Church. He comes from Oakland Heights Baptist in Cartersville. He is joined by his wife Gena, and son, Andrew.

Ed Cliburn was called as interim pastor at Meansville Baptist Church of Centennial Association on Jan. 18.

Toby Cooper resigned as youth director of Unity Baptist Church in Sylvester on Dec. 31.

Jeff Crook began his ministry as pastor at Blackshear Place Baptist Church in Flowery Branch on Jan. 4.

He was ordained into the ministry in March 1993 and has degrees from Baptist College of Florida and New Orleans Seminary. Crook previously served as pastor at Madison Street Baptist Church in Starke, Fla.

Ed Davidson accepted a call as pastor of praise and worship and senior adults at Eastside Baptist Church in Stockbridge on Feb. 1. He had previously served as associational music director for 18 years.

Marc Eichelberger began his ministry as pastor of Unity Baptist Church in LaGrange on Feb. 22. He comes to the church from New Orleans Seminary and is joined by his wife Kathy.

Mount Olive Baptist Church in West Molena called Mark Harris as pastor on Jan. 25.

Josh Hughes resigned as youth minister at Shadnor First Baptist Church in Union City.

Craig Lee accepted a call as pastor of Baldwin Baptist Church. Lee previously served as pastor of Hollonville Baptist Church in Williamson and has served as associate pastor and minister of singles and students at churches in Georgia and Alabama. He is joined by his wife, Tina, and children Whitney and Nathan.

Peachtree City Baptist Church has called Josh McAlister as associate youth minister. McAlister is joined by his wife Eryn.

Byron McEachearn concluded his service as interim pastor of Baldwin Baptist Church on Jan. 14.

Steve Moore resigned as associate pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany on Nov. 26.

First Baptist Church Lithia Springs called Kevin Newfeld as associate pastor of singles and activities. Bob Whitmire is pastor.

Johnny Pate has been called as pastor of First Avenue Baptist Church in Rochelle.

Lake Howard Baptist Church in LaFayette called David Pickard as interim pastor on Dec. 28.

Joey Rainwater has been called as pastor of Campellton Baptist Church in Fairburn. Rainwater comes from Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville. He is joined by his wife Lisa.

C.F. Strickland resigned as pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in LaFayette on Jan. 18.

Mervin Swartzentruber accepted a call as minister of youth and evangelism at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Austell.

Faith Baptist Church in Griffin called Carlton Swicegood as interim pastor.

Crawford Avenue Baptist Church in Augusta has called Joey Thompson as pastor. He is a graduate of Columbia International University and Augusta State University.

Thompson and his wife, Marla, have two children, Grace, 5, and Aaron, who is 3.

Lamar Truitt was called as interim pastor at Lakeview Baptist Church in LaGrange.

Don Voyles was called as pastor of Culloden Baptist Church on Dec. 7.

Waterville Baptist Church in Trion called Wayne Williams as pastor Feb. 1.

First Acree Baptist Church has called Bret Willis as youth and children’s director.
