Distrusts new Bible translations

I am writing in response to Carroll Underwood's recent letter regarding the disagreement over the phrase "back to its biblical and historical roots" being used in a Baptist Press article which appeared in a September issue of the Index.

First, I'd like to say that it is a fact that many churches in today's society have gotten away from their biblical roots because mainly of the Bibles that they read and learn from. There are many Bible translations that have gotten away from the true Gospel and with many of us not knowing that it has even happened.

Being a concerned mother, I stumbled upon these corrupt Bible translations when I was looking at the Bible my 9-year-old daughter received as a gift. This translation was clearly missing important verses that changed the whole meaning of the Bible.

As several friends helped me research the Bible translations available on the market today, we found many shocking discoveries.

No wonder we continue to read about church doors closing, less baptisms, and church membership dropping. Satan has been successfully attacking God, His churches, and His people with these corrupt Bible translations. Luke 8:11 and 12, says, "Then cometh the devil and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved."

We as Christians have a duty to protect God's Holy Word. Why? Because it is our foundation. God's Holy Word shows us how we should live with Jesus' life as our example.

No one can be true to God or God's people if they are not true to God's Holy Word; just read John 8:31 and 32.

For this very reason, God has called my friends and me to set up an organization to protect God's Holy Word. If you would like to take an active part in this contact us at (478) 746-0319 or RjonesJ@yahoo.com. Remember, all the devil needs is for good Christian people to sit back and do nothing. As James 2:26 says, "So faith without works is dead also."
