God is doing some amazing things within the city core of Atlanta through church planting. Here are just a few of the stories about how God is using church planters in urban Atlanta.
First Agape Baptist Church is led by Pastor Tek Dharnal, who was confined to a resettlement camp in Nepal for 17 years. During that time God saved him and called him as a church planter. He received training while at the camp and eventually started a church.
When his family was resettled into the Atlanta area, Dharnal and his wife, Rebecca, prayed about planting a church. Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker provided former Sunday School space in an unused building as a meeting place. Also, longtime church member Jim Sloop became Tek’s encourager and adviser.
