Anniversaries

Immanuel Baptist Church in Savannah will celebrate its 90th anniversary Dec. 5 with a special service and fellowship meal. Jimmy Ramsey, pastor of First Baptist Thomson, will be the featured speaker. Ramsey grew up at Immanuel, where he was ordained.

Jim Martin celebrated his 25th anniversary as pastor of First Baptist Church in Lithonia on Oct. 3. The church honored him and his wife, Bonnie, with a special service and reception.

Martin holds the longest tenured active pastorate in the church. The church established a scholarship at McAfee Theological Seminary in his honor to help seminarians with their theological education.
