Freemans named to two leading positions at Gwinnett Metro Association meeting

A husband and wife have been elected to positions of leadership in the Gwinnett Metro Baptist Association.

During the association's annual meeting Oct. 25, Jim Freeman was elected moderator for 2005 while his wife, Peggy, was elected moderator-elect for the following year. The Freemans are members of Mountain Park First Baptist Church in Lilburn.

In other business, the association removed three disbanded congregations - Bogan Road Baptist Church, Man Min Korean Baptist Church and Wellspring Baptist Church.

It was also noted that the association would soon be moving to its new location at the Crown Point Medical Building in Lawrenceville. The move is tentatively scheduled for January.

In addition to providing administrative office space, the two-story building will house the association's dental clinic and pregnancy resource center as well as two mission churches.

The association also voted to enter into a partnership with Hatcher Pass Association in Alaska.
