An Van Pham received a doctor of missiology degree from Southern Seminary on Dec. 10. His dissertation was titled "A Missiological Strategy for Korean-American Church Growth in Georgia."

Pham, Asian missionary for Georgia Baptists, also has a doctor of ministry degree from Southeastern Seminary. His 1990 dissertation for that degree was titled "Establishing a New Language-Culture Congregation for Savannah Baptist Association."

He and his wife, Lienhoa, live in Duluth and are members of Savannah Vietnamese Baptist Church. The couple are parents to adult children, a son, Binh, and a daughter, Thailan.
