Ministerial Moves

 

Claudia Anderson resigned as music director at First Baptist Church Putney effective Dec. 26.

 

Orchard Hill Baptist Church in Flint River Association called Brad Banks as youth minister in December. He is joined by his wife, Tami.

 

David Benton resigned as pastor at First Baptist Church Putney effective Dec. 26.

 

Roy Carroll was called as pastor at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Sumner on Dec. 5.

 

Tim Clark was called as pastor of Dooling Baptist Church on Dec. 19. Clark comes to the church after serving as Juvenile Correction Officer at YSI Detention Center in Cordele for the past year. Previously he served as pastor of Haw Pond Baptist Church in Arabi, Calvary Baptist Church in Dawson, and Lakeshore Baptist Church in Cordele. He is joined by his wife, Ann.

 

Eric Cranston was called as pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church in Stone Mountain Association and began his ministry on Nov. 21.

 

Carl Dunn began serving as transitional pastor at Radium Springs Baptist Church in Mallary Association on Dec. 1.

 

Gracewood Baptist Church in Statesboro called Bill Eckles as pastor beginning in January. Eckles comes to the church from serving as pastor at Register Baptist Church. He is joined by his wife, Beverly.

 

Second Avenue Baptist Church in Floyd County Association called Steve Grayson as minister of worship effective mid-January. He and his family come to the church from Florida. Monty Stallins is pastor.

 

Brant Kennedy was elected pastor of Smyrna Baptist Church in Deepstep on Dec. 5. He is joined by his wife, Kathy, and their two sons, Aaron and Joseph. They reside in Sandersville.

 

Terry Killingsworth has completed a four-year interim as minister of music at First Baptist Church in McDonough and is available for interim work. Killingsworth also served First Baptist Church in Peachtree City for 13 years. He can be contacted at (770) 304-0031.

Blockhouse Baptist Church in Jacksonville called William Kilpatrick as pastor. He began serving the church Jan. 1.

 

Coming out of retirement, after doing supply and interim work for three years, George N. Moody was called as full-time pastor at Providence Baptist Church in Lyons. Moody's service in Georgia Baptist churches included three and a half years at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Vidalia, six years at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, and seven years at Orange Hill Baptist Church in Austell.

 

Bethany Baptist Church in McDonough called Barry Saunders as minister of children and families effective Jan. 2. Saunders is a graduate of Shorter College in Rome and Southwestern Seminary. He is joined by his wife, Patti, and their two sons, Tyler and Joseph.

 

Carver Road Baptist Church in Griffin called Tom Summers as pastor on Dec. 5. He was ordained Dec. 26 at Royal Baptist Church in Newnan. He is joined by his wife, Stephanie.

 

Michael O. White accepted a call to serve First Baptist Church in McDonough as minister of music and began his ministry on Dec. 27. White comes to the church from Brookhaven Baptist Church in Atlanta, where he served as minister of music and education. He has also served Colonial Woods Baptist Church in Lawrenceville and First Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. He is joined by his wife, Becca, and their daughter, Emma.
