Who led you to faith in Jesus Christ?
Imagine how different your life would be if that person had never taken the time to share the gospel with you. Whether it was a pastor on a Sunday morning, a student ministry volunteer on a Wednesday night, a faithful family member, or a witnessing friend, the person who led you to Jesus had a profound impact on your eternity.
Now, consider this: there are 7 million people in Georgia who don’t have an answer to that question.
The spiritual need in our state can feel overwhelming. Where do we start? How can we possibly share the gospel with so many? What plan could make the kind of impact needed for everyone in Georgia to hear about Jesus?
Here’s the good news: God’s plan to reach Georgia is already in our pews. With more than 1 million Georgia Baptists, we already have the army in place to reach the 7 million who need to hear the gospel. Virtually every person who doesn’t know Christ is within reach of a Georgia Baptist who does. But in order to take full advantage of the opportunity God has given us, it’s going to take everyone everywhere.
Everyone Everywhere is more than just the theme of our 2025 Annual Meeting—it’s our call to action. The idea is simple: in order to reach everyone everywhere, it’s going to take every Georgia Baptist in every corner of our state.
I want to encourage you to make time to attend the Annual Meeting this November. Maybe it’s been a while since you last attended. Perhaps you wonder if it’s worth your time. Is it just another business meeting? While we will handle the business of the convention, our greater goal is for this gathering to serve as a rallying point—a time to encourage, equip, and send every Georgia Baptist into their community, town, and city with the hope of the gospel.
We are excited to devote nearly the entire day on Monday to evangelism. It will be a time of inspiration and equipping as we pursue our Everyone Everywhere mission. Throughout the convention, we will also spend time praying together, worshiping together, and encouraging one another as we seek to reach as many people as possible for Jesus. We have an incredible lineup of speakers to guide us, including:
I hope to see you at the Annual Meeting in November. Until then, go tell someone about Jesus! Because it’s going to take everyone everywhere to reach everyone everywhere.
