HOUSTON (AP) — Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker won his 2,000th game Tuesday night, becoming the 12th skipper in major league history to reach the milestone and the first Black man to do it.

LONDON (AP) — The first regular-season NFL game in Germany will be between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks at the home of soccer club Bayern Munich. The NFL says the game will take place at the Allianz Arena on Nov. 13.

Arizona Cardinals three-time All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been suspended six games for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. DOVER, Del. (AP) — Dover Motor Speedway held its first event under new management. The track traditionally held two NASCAR weekends, but moved one race date last season to Nashville Superspeedway. Dover hosted one race weekend in 1969 and 1970, and then held two races every season from 1971 to 2020.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration has determined that WNBA star Brittney Griner is being wrongfully detained in Russia, meaning the United States will more aggressively work to secure her release even as the legal case against her plays out.

Astros manager Dusty Baker tries for his 2,000th win as a major league manager when Houston hosts Seattle. Only 11 skippers have reached the mark so far. The 72-year-old Baker posted his 1,999th victory when Houston blanked the Mariners 3-0 Monday night.
