DULUTH, Ga. — Helping those who help others is the mission of the Georgia Baptist Health Care Ministry Foundation. In 2025, the Foundation awarded $8,977,399.43 to support the work of 87 health care ministries across the state. That's an increase of more than 6.5% from last year's total.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — More than 600 Georgia Baptists converged on Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins on Sunday and Monday to be encouraged to reach the lost in their state with the good news of Jesus Christ.

The hope of instant stardom is the bait many cannot avoid. “Influencers,” as they are called, seek attention and a following. The goal is to be seen, believed, and liked.

As a pastor I have seen some people at their worst because of perceived neglect in a will after the death of a family member. As Christians, however, we have an inheritance from a Lord who died. Our heavenly inheritance can never be taken away from us.

The breakfast, sponsored by the African American Fellowship (AAF) of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware (BCM/D), is designed to introduce people to George Liele, a freed slave in the 1700s who became the first ordained African American Baptist pastor.
