CARROLLTON, Ga. — Some 800 people attended the West Georgia Evangelism Conference on Sunday at Roopville Baptist Church in Carrollton.
That included 200 people who sang in a joint, multi-church choir from the Carrollton Baptist Association.
Speakers included Jerry Vines, the longtime pastor of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, and Emir Caner, president of Truett McConnell University.
Tim Williams, mission strategist in the Carrollton Baptist Association, said the huge attendance reflects the growing interest in evangelism among Georgia Baptists.
