HONOLULU — The Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention’s Executive Board has elected Craig Webb executive director-treasurer.

Webb has served as the assistant executive director for the past six years and brings vast church and convention experience and a history of humble servant leadership. He and his wife, Barbara, are excited for this next chapter in their service to Hawaii Pacific Baptists.

“I am profoundly grateful for the confidence that the search committee and the full board have placed in me to provide leadership to the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention in this next season,” he said.

Webb was born on Oahu and spent his first three years in Manoa when his dad, Henry Webb, was the Baptist Student Union director. He then spent his elementary years in Kalihi, where his dad was the pastor of Kalihi Baptist Church. They moved to Tennessee when Craig was eleven.

After graduating from Samford University and Southern Seminary, Webb served as a pastor in Clarksville, Tenn., from 1991-1994, then was pastor at Lahaina Baptist Church on Maui from 1994-2003.

He worked at Lifeway Christian Resources from 2003-2008, at The Glade Church in Mount Juliet, Tenn., from 2006 – 2015, and at First Baptist, Mount Juliet, Tennessee, from 2015-2017.

Webb received his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2010 from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Barbara have three grown children and two grandsons.
