CLEVELAND, Ga. — Truett McConnell University has named Danny Hendrix associate vice president for development and church relations.

Vice President of Advancement Stacy Hall made that announcement on Wednesday.

In the position, Hendrix will cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors, prospective donors, and churches while implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies that help meet the university’s needs.

Of Hendrix’s appointment, Hall commented, “After a thorough search for the right candidate, I am thrilled to announce that Danny has joined our staff.  Danny and his family are passionate about TMU and understand our mission and culture.  I have every expectation that Danny will play an integral part in our ability to advance this university.”

“My wife and I are so excited to come back home to Truett McConnell University,” Hendrix said. “I can’t wait to get to know the many alumni, family, and friends that are very special to TMU, and to spread the news of all that God is doing ‘on the mountain’! I pray that everyone can come to love the mission of the University as much as we do. I look forward to connecting with our many partners over the coming months.”

Both Hendrix and his wife, Heather, are graduates of Truett McConnell University.  In addition, all three of their sons have attended TMU, Hyatt, Truett, and Ellis.  Hendrix has spent over 30 years in ministry and 13 years directing and fundraising for non-profits.  Most recently, Hendrix has served as owner and president of TeamMaker, a firm that provides Christian coaching services to a portfolio of businesses and their employees.  Hendrix will officially begin his new role on April 1.  He and his wife are currently members of Pine Level Baptist Church in Cairo, Ga.

Truett McConnell University is a private Christian liberal arts and sciences university, offering 50-plus different programs of study including baccalaureate and master’s degrees.
