From the churches: First Redeemer Church launches Redeemer Bible Institute to equip the next generation of Bible teachers

CUMMING, Ga, — First Redeemer Church is launching the Redeemer Bible Institute (RBI), a new comprehensive Bible training program designed to equip believers for serious, life-long study of Scripture and for effective Bible teaching in the local church and community. The first cohort will begin in January and is expected to open with more than 50 students, with both morning and evening class options available.

“It has never been more exciting to be a Christian. As our world devolves into moral confusion and aimless hostility, we’ve been given the privilege of shining the piercing light of truth into dark places… bearing the light of truth requires Christians to have a deep, solid, and refined biblical worldview,” said Jeff Jackson, senior pastor of First Redeemer Church. “The Redeemer Bible Institute equips light-bearers to see life through the lens of Scripture and to live and think biblically in every area of life. I hope you’ll consider joining us to become a bright beacon of biblical truth in our culture.”

The Redeemer Bible Institute offers a rigorous, multi-year curriculum centered on biblical literacy, theology, spiritual formation, and practical teaching skills. The program is intentionally designed for men and women who sense a call to teach the Bible but are unable to leave their current ministry, family, or professional responsibilities to attend a traditional seminary.

“This is a great opportunity for people in our area who are already serving in ministry and want a comprehensive program of Bible study aimed at becoming more effective in teaching the Bible, but who cannot uproot their ministry and relocate to attend seminary,” said RBI Director David Judd. “Our mission is to train faithful men and women to rightly handle the Word of God and confidently pass it on to others.”

RBI will provide structured classroom instruction using trusted evangelical resources, guided group discussion, journaling for spiritual formation, and hands-on teaching development. Students may choose between morning and evening cohorts, making the program accessible to working adults, ministry leaders, and church volunteers.

Registration is now open, and classes are nearing capacity for the inaugural cohort.
